Insulation - Cavity

Cavity wall insulation is injected into the cavity between the inner and outer leaves of brickwork that make up the external wall of your property.

An insulation installer will do this from the outside of your property the process normally is that they will drill small holes in the outside of the wall to insulate and then the fibre is injected into the walls filling the cavity. The holes are then filled into make as perfect match as possble to the existing wall. There are a variety of different insulating materials, but they all work in the same way: by combining with the still captive air, the insulation acts as a barrier to heat loss. The material used will most likely be mineral wool or polystyrene beads. Cavity insulation is a straight forward service that takes roughly three hours and makes no mess in your house as it is done outside .
