Paving & Driveways > Monday, May-14-2007Block PavingBlock paving has been THE growth area in the UK Paving Industry over the last 10-15 years.
Mass production techniques have reduced the prices of manufactured blocks to a reasonable level, and made this type of paving affordable to most projects. In fact, concrete block paving costs only £3-6 per m² more than plain flags/slabs, when laid to a domestic driveway. Brick or Block paving can be used anywhere. They look great on drives and will provide many years of service. They can be used to great effect as paths, or patios, or mixed with other paving types to create a unique feature. They are a viable alternative to the more traditional asphalt or macadam surfacing for estate roads, and look a lot better than tarmac or plain concrete. They are even being used in areas of exceptional loads, such as airport taxi-ways, docks and freight yards.
its a block paving specialist company called budget paving i need a slogan to put under the name i had ''we work to your budget'' but no one liked that advertisement lady on her way thats the only thing i forgot to do so quick also should i call it budget driveways? I applied for a dropped kerb on 24/10/11, got permission from landlord then waited 5 weeks to get the pavement measured and marked up. Was told I would receive an estimate of costs in 2 weeks time. I actually got it 2 days before christmas, I sent the form back accepting the costs straight away, and I am still waiting for an answer back. I was'nt asked for any money yet, so wondering does anybody know when I am supposed to pay for the work, and how much longer will I have to wait to drive onto my driveway which I was told at the time of inspection to go ahead and have it done, it is a gravel driveway, so I can't drive up the kerb without draggin the stones off with car wheels, and in any case it is illegal to drive up, I was told, even though my next door neighbour did when he had his blocked paved drive done. Anybody have ideas. paving company based in a gipsy camp in farringdon,Devon, they have been around for about 18 months selling driveways and patios to elderly people who cannot fight these very forceful door to door sellers from Ireland,CREATIVE PAVING also call themselves SOUTH DEVON PAVING and DEVON PAVING,i know of one driveway they sold to an old couple in exeter for around 20k which should cost around 5k i was told and their work is well bellow standards i was told by experts. I am writing this because they tried to sell a driveway to my mum and after she said no they became very aggressive towards her and she got very afraid and upset. BEWARE :THESE PEOPLE ARE COWBOYS. the landlord next door when she was living there knocked down her wall and parked her car inside, without the council paving the floor, now she's rented the property to the council and I have asylum somalian neighbours. The man who lives there comes and goes and rarely stays there, however when you park in front of the house and he comes he beeps the horn until someone moves their car, surely this can't be right? i'm parked on a public road without marking or permits and he wants me to move, what are my rights in relation to this? I've had a block paved driveway for two years and having spent money on it, want to keep it clean. My question is if you should clean it by jet-washing it? Only reason I ask - using my limited but having observed issues like this - is that I know that the bricks are kept together by sand and by jet-washing them, the sand can be erased and allow weeds to grow from areas where the sand has gone. So, should jet washes be used to clean block paved driveways and secondly, any other better - but maybe longer - ways of cleaning it without the urge of weeds to grow? Does anyone knows good bid directory providing quality SEO links based in UK? I would like to get some quality listings under Home improvement sites. |
