the costs for the 2012 olympics is going up and up, yet Labour seem to think it will make a fortune for the uk (like the dome, NOT!) ,i think they will be lucky if they break even.

My partner was sub contracting on a building site he had taken the job on full time and was PAYE .Last week he almost had an accident at work his boss fired him the next day we couldnt understand it as they were pleased with his work and were going to put his pay up it then turned out that the owner of the job decided because my partner nearly had an accident he was a liability as the boss didnt want to risk people having accidents claiming on his insurance .I feel this is unfair but i dont know what rights he has as he was contracting .It has really peed me off that people can fire you over somthing so petty is there any action he can take against them?

i recently started new job five weeks ago as a carpenter in ireland working for a sub contractor who is building council houses .when i started i was originally told we would be getting paid in two weeks then in a month s time now 5 long weeks later i still havent gotten money although promised two days i know few others didnt get paid either what rights do we have what would u do if it was help i going in tomorrow

my son has been employed for 7 months with a small bilding contractors he has a wage slips and is great timekeeper but one of the guys says that they do not get holiday pay but he says he is self employed but mu son isnt as he works for the guy who owns the copmpany so if my son pays tax and nat insurance surely he should be getting holiday pay can anyone let me know as i am hearing differnet views from a lot of people
