Resolved Question: Virgin Media Fibre Optic in new build?
Hi,
I was wondering if I able to have to have Virgin Media Fibre Optic broadband installed in my new build house? As this is the exactly the same grey junction box outside my new front door & on the corner there is a metal grid or put as it is known which says CATV, now I have also been told by a contractor when I viewed my new house last Friday that high speed fast broadband is available!
When I call Virgin Media they are of No use at all, now my initial investigation with the junction box & the pit kinds tells me that this is a good sign, so if anyone can perhaps help more with this I would be most grateful, as I seriously do Not want to go over to BT after being with Virgin Media for 3 years!!!

Resolved Question: How to move electrical socket further from gas hob?
We're having a new gas hob installed as part of a kitchen revamp and I gather the electrical socket has to be moved at least 300mm to the side of the hob, as building regs have changed. Is it possible to move it straight over to one side or do we need a new ring main as well, as one contractor has suggested?
