i did 3 month plumber training course, one year plumbing job experience working in flat building in hongkong. so , it is more easier for me to get a plumber job in US ? i mean doing it as an independent contractor. do i have to take lisence in US ? or just do it . ?

We're having a new gas hob installed as part of a kitchen revamp and I gather the electrical socket has to be moved at least 300mm to the side of the hob, as building regs have changed. Is it possible to move it straight over to one side or do we need a new ring main as well, as one contractor has suggested?
