They are suggesting stopping the building of an aircraft carrier at Rosyth, the type 42 ships at Govan, the closure of RAF Lossiemouth in addition to many thousands of public workers jobs. A figure of 60,000 is suggested. Well I am no Albert Einstein but surely to put all these jobs at risk would result in even more money being paid in redundancy and unemployment pay, as well as cancellation payments to the contractors for work already done and compensation for loss of projected work. Also, what about the loss of spending power that these 60,000 people would no longer be able to give to the private businesses which would also suffer and would probably lead to more redundancies snowballing into further recession. Is this retribution by the Tories on Scotland for rejecting them at the General election?

My gas fire has been cut off because 10 years ago my housing association removed the back boiler installed a new system and installed a new fire, Now I am told there was no flue liner fitted by the contractor and that I have been in danger as it is technically possible it could have leaked C 0 2 into the bedrooms.Far from being apologetic I have been told there is no money to fit a flue liner and to use only the central heating which is expensive the house was built in 1985 approx.any ideas what I can do .
