A carpenter is a skilled craftsman who performs carpentry

carpentry carpenter wood woodwork

A carpenter is a skilled craftsman who performs carpentry; a wide range of woodworking that includes constructing buildings, furniture, and other objects out of wood. The work generally involves significant manual labour and work outdoors, particularly in rough carpentry, In British slang a carpenter is sometimes referred to as a "chippie". A joiner is a woodworker whose work involves making things by joining pieces of wood. Therefore the trades are very similar as most carpenters would regularly have to join wood in the process.

  • Resolved Question: sods law? why is it when you have a house hold problem & some1- usually a guy- offers to look at it..?

and he tries to fix it, it usually is just made worse? for example you have a plumbing problem or a problem with a lock etc. i mean my friend is a carpenter/joiner by trade so he offered to look at my front door lock, i was all impressed as he took it apart, filed it, etc. then i didnt have a problem opening the lock, it wouldnt lock at all lol and he only somewhat fixed it by leaving out one piece he took apart. even he said "look, i made it worse" haha so, why does this ALWAYS happen?? it wasnt like he was totally unskilled in locks lol or that i begged him to look at it, he offered. tho i am grateful for his help as i know its not the lock itself its how it catches on the door frame, but im not sure if im worse off now? lol lol he did have interest in my lock thats why he offered lol i just said i was fcuking grateful for his help, i just said i might be worse off now. read the question ffs.
