So I think I might be able to convince my mom to let me get some rats, but she is adamant that they cannot stay in my room as I would like. Instead they have to either go outside or in the conservatory. The conservatory gets to the same temperature as outside, so in the winter it gets pretty cold. What temperatures can pet rats live in? In the UK at the moment it is pretty damn chilly, would I be able to somehow let them live (in a cage) in the conservatory or outside but put a blanket over them or something? And does anyone know of any breeders in the North of England, the Yorkshire area? :-) Thanks in advance!

well thanks for all your replies..... I would just like to add that, she is in with another older dog (another Golden of 10years). She is in the conservatory with the door open into a warm kitchen, which she often sleeps in, if not she sleeps in a open ended crate in her own basket. so she is well cared for. Thanks for the advice on letting her bark and feeding her when I am ready not her. I will also try letting her out too, giving fher biscuits then feeding her again at 7.00ish with breakfast. There is paper by the conservatory door to the garden if she wants a wee... so I feel I am doing this all ok, but will feed her later in the evening as suggested on here and see how this goes. I do know and am aware that she is a puppy and still young, I shall come back after I have used all your ideas and let you know what happened. once again many thanks for replying back to me.

i want to gt some quinea pigs but i dunno where i should put them. im 15 so i still live with my mum. i was thinking about getting 2 or maybe 3 and putting them in my rom but then i thought about ow they will probabaly get scared by my hairdryer and when i put deodorant on wouldnt be very good for them. so i cant decide where would be best. my front room is vary small to put a cage there. and the weather outside is never all that pleasent here in the UK so im a bit iffy about putting them outside. i do have a conservatory and a dinning room we havea dog in the kitchen so thats a no. plz helppp xx
