  • Open Question: Can you help me settle a two sided discussion at work?

So, I work in a bank back office with about 200 other people on my same floor. One side feels strongly that it is better to be loud, boisterous, and joking at work, socializing, walking around and gossiping are all acceptable. The other side feels this behavior is distracting and would prefer a quieter environment to better concentrate on work tasks. What do you feel is the more professional work environment? I can't move to a different location. I've already asked.

  • Open Question: Why do villagers campaign about green belt issues?

I have just watched a documentary on ITV about property built with no planning permission. It also commented on buildings that include planned buildings being built on the green belt and all the villagers were complaing. Their main argument being that it spoils the environment. Although I agree with their argument, I cannot help wondering why they live in the village in the first place if they care about the wildlife and general environment so much.
