Refurbishment- it is possible to redesign your kitchen on a budget.
The first step would be to replace your work surface, it will transform the look of your room. Change the cupboard doors and handles, replacing small handles with long, steel handles will instantly bring any kitchens up to date. New doors will also give the room a facelift. It is a much less expensive than replacing the cupboards and it works. Alternatively you could paint or stain the doors rather than replacing them, this would also brighten up your kitchen and bring it to life.
Open Question: I can't believe i ate that!?
I am so annoyed with myself! Over the last 2 weeks i managed to lose 5lbs and now this week i just went completly off it! I ate 2750 calories yesterday and I maneged to get through today without messing up again until right now. Today i ate:
-bowl of fruit cocktail
-vegtable in sauce and cold veg
-pasta, 2 piece chicken 1/2 peice salmon and some peas
THEN
i just went into the kitchen and had 2 slices of cake
.....
I COULD JUST ABOUT KILL MYSELF I GAINED OVER A POUND YESTERDAY AND NOW IM GOING TO GO UP EVEN MORE AND AHHHH!!! ITS JUST SO HARD! HELP ME? What should i do to prevent these things ever happeneing? Please HElp HELp HELP!
Open Question: will i have greased up my furniture?
I live in an open plan house (kitchen/dining/living area all one), I put some bacon under the grill and went upstairs to check my email quickly.....and forgot about the grill. about 10 mins later the smoke alarm went off so i ran downstairs and the whole area was smokey.
Will this have left grease all over my furniture/expensive tv etc?
the cooker is about 5metre from the living area

Its so contrived ..... I mean the whole thing is just one big 'set' ....... those 'diners' arent your 'average joes' off the street. They are paid by the production to be there. I mean funny how a failing restauarant that cant get any custom suddenly swells to bursting point when Gordon is there.
And funny how when a chef gets mouthy with him he does the classic 'lets get everyone to send their meals back even if theres nothing wrong with them' to make him look bad.
Only Yanks would fall for this nonsense ......
I mean people blame Bear Grylls for faking his scenes, but what Gordon when hes got a roomful of actors who just does what he says ....... 'Gordon, am I supposed to like or hate the food now? Im not sure which scene we are shooting here ......'
