A general outline of what would take place in an industrial or non domestic pest control is: a survey will be made of the commercial property, advice given on preventative measures which can be taken, and if necessary, placement of rodent poison in commercial areas. A safety sheet will be issued and follow up pest control visits will be arranged at the time.

  • Voting Question: Can somebody tell me how you spell Sorcid, as in the beetles from birds nest! and what colour are they?

I have posted loads a questions on here about plaster beetles for the council to tell me they are these sorcid beetles and they would send somebody around to check my loft for a nest, but when the guy from pest control come he didnt seem bothered about looking in the loft he said they would be plaster beetles so Im back to square one, and loosing my mind with confussion steve, the pest control man was no help whatsoever, however I have been brave and looked on the rentokil website and comparet all beetles etc, anyway I think that I have plaster beetles and springtails which both live in damp conditions. if rentokil was to come around and spray would this solve my problem or just for a few weeks????

  • Resolved Question: Calling all pest controllers or people that gave me advice!?

After months and months of thinking I had plaster beetles in my flat and taking advice from people and following it etc, I have recently caught one of theser horrible little beetles and taken it to the council for pest control to identify and it is NOT and I repeat NOT a plaster beetle, I cant remember the name the council gave me they are posting the information out to me tonight but it is a beetle that you mainly find in a birds nest sor something its called. Anyway the council are coming out on monday to check my roof space for birds nest so hopefully if they find one get rid and the beetles will die out hopefully! Thanks everyone you was great!

  • Resolved Question: do the ultrasonic mouse traps work?

We think we've got mice come to stay for the winter. So far they don't seem to have managed to get into the actual house, and are just living in the walls (we think they got in from around a pipe outside). I'm wondering if the ultrasonic and electromagnetic deterrant machines work? seen here: http://www.primrose-london.co.uk/pest-control-mouse-deterrents-c-24_25mouse.html?source=googleads&gclid=CKq-14mh5pYCFQOx1AodYxtuPQ I don't particularly want to use old-fashioned traps. Previously I've just poisoned them, but I don't think my landlord will go for that, so i'm thinking of buying something like this. Any thoughts?
