CCTV

The ideal system to protect your property is CCTV (Closed Circuit Television).

CCTV not only does it act a visual deterrent but the video or digital recording provides an invaluable method of recording crime, violence or anti-social behaviour and an increased security level. These days, there is a huge range of CCTV products to choose from, with a wealth of features. CCTV Systems range from a simple analogue or digital package to highly advanced digital systems which can be integrated into our other security systems such as intruder alarm or access control. CCTV can be used to monitor virtually anything: town centres, public transport, domestic and commercial premises as well as stock, machinery, personnel, visitors, access control and Health & Safety requirements - the list is endless. CCTV installation is a very benefitial investment, keeping up with modernisation.

  • Open Question: hi security question ref computer theft?

Is there any type of device that can be fitted to a computer like a tracker device that can show the location of my computer should it be stolen? I've had 2 stolen to date this is a bad area.

  • Open Question: downloading security software?

Should i remove ALL of it (McAfee and Norton found) before putting new one on mylaptop?

  • Open Question: Fiance visa to america and health insurance?

My fiance is travelling to California on a fiance visa this month. We have 3 months to get married and then we can apply for his permanent residence and social security, which I hear will take about 6 months. Therefore I don't think I can put him under my work's health insurance. In the meantime, what can he do about health insurance? Will travel insurance w/ medical coverage be okay until I can put him under my health coverage?

  • Open Question: How can a private security 'guard' confiscate an item from me that I have paid for?

Scenario: Retail/Leisure complex with shops and bars. I walk out of a bar with a bottle of beer, the doormen see this and don't react, probably because people have to smoke outside, and often take drinks out with them. We leave the area immediately outside the bar, and start to walk through the complex to leave the site completely. Just before we leave the area, and private security person runs over and says we mustn't take the bottle out, and says we must give it to him, or finish it immediately. When I argue the toss, he snatches it from me and pours it down the drain. Is he allowed to do this? (and how, considering I paid for it, so it is now mine?) I'm specifically asking this in relation to UK laws. Specifically, even if it is against the licence conditions of the premesis, is it not still my property? Assuming securtity guards have no special powers (or do they?), so how can they confiscate, detain or challenge?

  • Open Question: Are the national insurance numbers in the uk, related in any way to where we're born or live?

What I mean is that in the us social security numbers first three digits relate to the states in which they're issued, is it the same here. If not, do they provide any other information?
