  • Open Question: The company 'Konarka' manufactures 'PowerPlastic', a solar energy conversion product. What is its efficiency?

I'm doing research for a project and want to know the energy conversion efficiency of PowerPlastic by Konarca. I have searched the web myself for the answer but cannot find anywhere the electrical power the product produces per square meter on a bright, cloudless day. Does anyone have any helpful information they can share with me? Thanks ;)

  • Open Question: Do you know any company based in centre or west London that deal with Photovoltaic(PV) / solar energy system?

I want to know as much as possible about the subject and I even looked online to find if there is any course or lecture on it (couldn't find any). I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a company that install PV systems. Else if you have any suggestion on how I could learn more about solar energy without spending a lot of money then please write to me with all your tips. I will appreciate any comments posted. Thanks.

  • Resolved Question: How do solar cells work?

Hi, can anyone please tell me how solar cells work? Not in too much detail with alot of compicated terminology. I just need to know how they convert solar energy into electrical energy without all the complicated stuff. Thanks alot!

  • Resolved Question: How/where can you get data with solar cells(solar energy) ?

  • Resolved Question: How do you sell electricity back to the National Grid?

It's already been on the news that some people have used their excess energy (from solar cells, for example) to sell electricity back to their energy supplier. Does anyone know how you'd go about setting something like that up. I mean, do you need planning permission to start with? Can you really just fire up a generator, hook it up to the Grid and expect to get paid instead of receiving a bill?
