Generally, ceramic, porcelain, and stone tile can be installed on interior walls that are structurally stable, on plane, and consist of a suitable substrate. Suitable substrates include masonry, backer-board, gypsum board (drywall), or mortar beds. Many people, including professional tilers, like to use good quality mastics due to their extended pot life and their extended "on the wall tiling time." Good quality mastics can be applied on the wall and still be able to hang tile twice as long as portland cement thinset of equal quality. Caution must be exercised that the mastic does not "glaze over" rendering the mastic too dry to bond the tile to the wall.
I currently have a bath & sink in one room with my toilet in another. If I knock the two rooms into one, other than the spiralling house prices, would this have much negative effect on the saleability/price of my flat in the future?? Every wall is currently tiled top to bottom, I'd only want to partially tile my future bathroom. Also am thinking of having a cabinet under the sink. Can you also give me an idea of where I should start???!!! Much appreciated!! x Stupidly, I cracked some tiles by scraping furniture across it. Is there any way of covering the cracks up, like a colouring crayon or something like that? if a tile is .400x.400mm and i need to cut it in .100x.100mm. ill get 16 .100mm tiles out of the one tile how many .400x.400mm tiles do i need to cut to get 4m2 there are 360 tiles = 33.4m2 in a crate, if i take 2 crates it will be 720 tiles witch = 66.8m2 how many tiles do i remove to get 63m2 I want to buy a suction shower head holder, as I have a tile bathroom and can't be drilling holes and making a mess, but would love to be able to shower with 2 hands to wash my hair with! The only product I found so far is 'Shuc' but after postage etc it's about £20 and I just wondered if anyone had seen anything similar anywhere else!? Thanks! Does anyone knows good bid directory providing quality SEO links based in UK? I would like to get some quality listings under Home improvement sites. |
