Windows & Glass > Thursday, May-17-2007GlaziersGlaziers include windows, doors, porches and conservatories.
Glaziers install windows and mirrors in homes and other buildings. They may install new glass or repair broken panes. When possible, glaziers cut glass in the shop rather than at the job site. They start by choosing double
glazing glass that meets the needs of the task. For example, they might choose thicker, stronger glass for a shower door than for a window. Glaziers put uncut glass on a cutting table and measure the cutting line. They use a glass-cutting tool with a hard wheel to mark the cutting line. By pressing the cutter's wheel firmly on the glass, glaziers cut into the surface of the glass. This process is known as "scoring" the surface. By pressing on the shorter end of the glass, glaziers break it along the score line. Once the glass is cut, glaziers may cut and apply anti-glare film to reduce glare. Glaziers may not cut all of their glass. Sometimes they order pre-made windows. For these items, glass is cut at a factory and installed in a frame before it is sent to glaziers.
Check out Quotatis UPVC Double Glazing for Free online window quotes i was in the supermarket and i grabbed this old lady's stick off her - she was going to hit me with it cos i got the last cabbage as she was trying to reach for it..... anyhow, cos i took her stick, she fell over on to a display of 500 cans of soup that went all over the place. next thing was this guy slipped on one of the cans and crashed his cart into a huge display which went crashing through the plate glass window ... but there was a female staff member who was with a guy hiding behind the display when it fell (and they were doing nooky) - well, she screamed with shock and ran away - well she didn't run far cos she must have forgot her panties were still around her ankles so she fell flat on her face and broke her nose. anyway, i wanted to buy a gift to apologise to my girlfriend for being late back from the supermarket - what do you think i should buy her? So a 6 days ago i was in the kitchen drinking a glass of milk when suddenly a bird flys through the open window and into my toaster, it's gotten stuck but im 100% sure its ok. I then realized the next day this is problem because the bird keeps eating my BREAD. I tried taking the bird out of the toaster with some spoons. I made sure they were metal spoons so i didn't get shocked. Two days ago i ran out of bread so i started putting mayonnaise in the toaster to feed the bird. What should i do? Should i buy more bread? They also like being little but don't like being big the little people like the moon but they don't like the sun the little people like carrots but they don't like onions the little people like swimming but they don't like water the little people like food but don't like eating the little people like glass but they don't like windows. What else do the little people like and not like? I want to get a blackout blind for my daughter's bedroom, her window is west facing & with the summer coming, the sun streams thru the window at bedtime!!!! Is it better to get a blind which fits inside the window (ie right infront of the glass)? Or to fit over the outside of the window (ie just behind the curtain)? It'd be really annoying to get a crack of light peeking through!! Also, most blinds are sold in feet ... her window (glass length) is JUST over 3ft (maybe an inch over, how annoying!!), do I have to buy 4ft & cut it down? Thanks in advance. Basically theres this huge underwater laboratory where they study great white sharks with certain drugs. And they give some sharks a drug that makes them go mad and one charges towards the big glass window (i remember this scene) and breaks it. Then all the workers form a team and they all try to get to the surface as the water gets higher. It's a bit like the Posiedon Adventure. And I also remember this one scene where they are climbing up this huge verticle tunnel by a ladder, and all of a sudden it starts to fill up with water (and a few sharks) and a woman falls into a sharks mouth legs first and gets eaten in a very dramatic way. I think there's also one scene where a man is leaning into a docking hole in the floor where they bring in the sharks (this is still underwater) and a shark rips his arm off, but that might have been another film. Does anyone know what this film is called? Does anyone knows good bid directory providing quality SEO links based in UK? I would like to get some quality listings under Home improvement sites. |
